Glasgow Wildcats are on a mission
to make Scotland’s netballers a force to be reckoned, with the 2014
Commonwealth games their immediate goal. The plan is move up in the
World rankings by developing a squad of elite players that will compete
in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Denise Holland, coach of both the Fiat Netball Superleague side and the
Scotland squad was delighted to guide her side to a 7th place finish last
year. The Wildcats played their second season in the top-flight in
2009/10.
The Glasgow Wildcats Brand and Team association is funded by Glasgow City
Council (GCC) and managed by Glasgow Life. Netball is a priority
sport for the city and it is a core sport for the Commonwealth Games.
Wildcats are the netball evangelists in Scotland where they intend winning
over would-be players, new spectators and hard-core fans over to the
action within the third lines.
